Airbus A340-300E (2004)
The third Airbus A340 variant that SAA operates is the -300 variant. It is longer than the -200 but shorter than the -600.

Modelling
The following kits have been produced over the years that will allow the modeller to build a model of this aircraft.

Colours
The aircraft are finished in the standard post 1997 colours consisting of an all-white fuselage with South African logos and national flag tail colours. The wing tip fins had the national flag colours on them. The aircraft type name is carried on rear fuselage just forward of rear door and registration preceded the national flag level with the bottom of the rear door.
After SAA membership of the Star Alliance group was approved in 2006 a small Star Alliance logo was added to the aircraft between the forward entrance door and the cockpit windows.
Decals
At the time of writing no dedicated A340-300 decals for a SAA aircraft have been produced. It should be possible to adapt the A340-600 ones to your model.
