Modelling
The following kits have been produced over the years that will allow the modeller to build a model of this aircraft.
No kit of an A340-600 exists as yet although Bra.Z models release a conversion fuselage for the Revell 1/144th scale A340-300 kit. Both SAA and Star Alliance markings kits were released although the full SAA colour scheme kit is now listed as out of stock.
Colours
The aircraft are in the standard post 1997 colours consisting of an all-white fuselage with South African logos and national flag tail colours. The wing tip fins had the national flag colours on them. The aircraft type name is carried on rear fuselage just forward of rear door and registration preceded the national flag level with the bottom of the rear door.
After SAA membership of the Star Alliance group was approved in 2006 one aircraft was painted in the Star Alliance colours. The rest of the fleet rest have a small Star Alliance logo added to them between the forward entrance door and the cockpit windows.
